
Vũ Trọng Phụng (20-10-1912 - 13-10-1939) who was born in Mỹ Hào district, Hưng Yên province. He was a popular Vietnamese writer and journalist at the beginning of the 20th century. In the short-time, he has left an incredible works repository: more than 30 short stories, 9 novels, 9 collective reportage, 7 plays... and hundreds of articles on politics, society, culture. Some excerpts from his works “Dumb Luck” and “The Storm” have been included in school textbooks of Việt Nam.
