Morocco: Postage Stamps contains Moroccan Sahara sand


The Moroccan people is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Green March. This march became an epic and a stunning model for people aspiring to freedom, reflects itself in the scale of the story of a struggle, in symbiosis with the King and the people for the recovery of the Sahara. The Green March: event of the century, peace march, is indeed the consciousness of an entire people, refusing domination and alienation, which was mobilized and raised himself to recover part of its territory, who lived in servitude and deprivation and give him peace and well being.

On this occasion, and like previous years, Poste Maroc celebrates this precious birthday, dear to all Moroccans, by issuing a block of two postage stamps, printed by new technologies, offset and thermographic method with application of Sahara sand, collected in real sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara. Using this technique, is the first in Africa and the Arab world, which shows once again the innovative capacity of Post Morocco in the use of printing techniques in the field special issues of postage stamps.
