On the 02nd of October 2010, the SRV Ministry of Information
and Communications specially issues the stampset:
1,000th Anniv. of Thăng Long - Hà Nội: building and developing

Consisting of 04 values and 01 block with their denominations of 2,000 đ; 2,500 đ; 4,500 đ; 6,500 đ and 14,000 đ.
This is the last stampset of three special issues to celebrate 1,000th Anniv. of Thăng Long - Hà Nội. The first stampset "Thăng Long - Hà Nội, the Age-old civilization" was issued on October 7th 2000. The second stampset "Thăng Long - Hà Nội with her glorious tradition in the struggle against foreign invaders" was issued on October 10th 2005.

The images on the stampset are depicted after the folk style and 3-D graphics featuring Hà Nội in the past, at present and in the future.

of 2,000 đ: "Hà Nội - the Capital of the Socialist Republic of Việt
Nam". on the stamp are the image of the Royal Proclamation and the main
outline image of Hà Nội Flag Tower expressing the Hà Nội following
National Traditional.
- Value 4-2, denomination of 2,500
đ: "Hà Nội in building". on the left of stamp is the image of Quan
Chưởng City Gate. The main outline images of stamp are the National
Conference Center and the General Housing Area representing the Hà Nội remarkable achievements in buiding.
- Value 4-3, denomination of 4,500 đ: "Hà Nội in developing". The images of stamp are the Long Biên Bridge and the Nhật Tân bridge - the biggest and modern cable-stayed bridge in Việt Nam - featuring the traffic achievements in Hà Nội.
- Value 4-4, denomination of
6,500 đ: "Hà Nội in modernization". The stamp shows the image of the Hà
Nội Station in early centenary and the main outlined image of Nội Bài
Airport representing the Hà Nội integration of international
development and cooperation in the new period.
- Block, denomination of 14,000 đ: "Hà Nội into the cause of modernization and industrialization". The images of Lý Thái Tổ King and Khuê Văn Các (the Confucian Temple) - the First University of Việt Nam - as a bold image of the Việt Nam intellectual in general are depicted on background of block. In the center of block is the outlined picture of the intellectual people - the main power to succeed in the cause of modernization and industrialization.
